Another Milestone

Today was a big day in the Wilson house. We took Nathan for his first haircut. I'll let the pictures tell the story.
We're on our way!
In the truck, about to go in, enjoying some yummy pretzels...
So far, so good...
Then the meltdown began...
Holy cow, the baby screamed and cried...
Bribe?
The sweet lady was so patient while my little buddy threw a fit...
Oh my...
Doesn't look so bad from this angle. Luke is in the next seat. Luke always sits perfectly still while he gets a hair cut so Nathan's behavior was somewhat unexpected.
Feeling better now, we went to MacAlister's for some dinner.
Monkey smile!
What a cutie with his new haircut!
My big boy with Daddy!
Basically, we had a good time :) I'm just glad Nathan's hair does not grow very fast!

July

We've had a pretty slow July. It's basically involved school, work, playing outside and trying to stay busy to minimize the downtime. Here are a few pictures of the boys.
Playing in the backyard...
He's getting so big!
Nathan is a climber, like no child I have ever seen. We have to keep everything that might even remotely be used as a step, put away. This is Nathan, right before he climbed onto the end table.
My sweet friend from Glen Oaks, Susan, has been so generous to us over the past couple of years. She has a little boy two years older than Luke and she has passed SO MANY wonderful things to us. This Elmo workbench is one of the most recent things she has shared with us. The boys LOVE it!

Happy 4th of July!

Over the 4th of July weekend, Jeff, the boys and I headed to Tulsa to celebrate with my family. We had a great, but busy time!
Happy 4th of July!
Luke and Daddy in the pool...
Isn't this fun Daddy!
Kyle and Kristin having fun on the slide.
David and Leanne...
My sweet Mom!
More fun in the pool...
Me and Leanne.
Charles and Stacey were there too but somehow I managed to not get any pictures of them! It was a fun weekend and great to be together!

The Birthday Party

Nathan's birthday party was a lot of fun. I have been waiting to post these pictures because I knew I would have a difficult time deciding which pictures to post. I wanted to post so many and, even though it does not seem like it, I really did limit myself!
The birthday boy with Mommy...
and Daddy...
Th cousins having their hot dogs (thanks Papaw for the table!).
The birthday boy having his lunch, including his fair share of Cheetos (he really is a Wilson).
Papa in the birthday spirit!
Aunt Stacey and Kristin...
Nathan with his presents...
Nathan with his new nap mat. Now that he will be in the toddler class, he needs a nap mat (thanks Mimi!).
Luke "enjoying" his gift from Grammy and Papa. Such thoughtful grandparents, all the grandparents and the boys' great grandmother sent Luke a gift on Nathan's birthday (it's like they've done this before or something).
Got a little "Captain" in you?
Papa and the birthday boy!
Grammy and the birthday boy!
The Elmo cake...
Mmmm mmmm...
End of story!
Happy Birthday Big Boy!
